The CPU is focused on:
Building a strong, healthy CoD community where we lift each other up rather than tearing others down.
The CoD community has always had a problem with racism, sexism, homophobia, bullying, etc. We don’t pretend we can stop this, but in our interactions in the game and on social media, the CPU strives to set an example for others. Positivity over negativity.
Helping each other get better at CoD games and enjoy them more.
There is a common misconception that wanting a fair experience in CoD games means you want kills and wins handed to you because you don’t want to put in the time and effort to improve at the game. Nothing could be further from the truth. The CPU strives to help its members improve at the game by sharing tips and motivation and encourages members to do the same for each other. We want a fair experience in the game, but we also want to improve our skills so we can have more fun.
Using the power of the majority to create a voice as loud and strong as streamers and pro players.
The CPU is not anti-streamer or anti-pro player. We welcome members who stream. We actually view streamers and pro players as allies working toward similar goals. But big streamers, pro players and others with large social media followings get more interaction with Call of Duty because their large following amplifies their voice. The CPU is a voice for the majority on social media and the more of us there are, the more powerful our voice becomes and the more likely we are to be heard.
Using our voice on social media to bring attention to issues we care about.
CPU members have plenty of good ideas about how to improve Call of Duty games, but have never had an effective way to get CoD’s attention. As the CPU grows, our ideas will be heard and taken more seriously.
Using our voice to influence Call of Duty to prioritize the in-game experience of the majority.
Many factors influence player experience, and all we want is for CoD to consider things from our perspective when they create games and maintain them over their lifespan. As an example, we want CoD to focus on the console experience in their games as much as the PC experience. Case in point; we never want to see a CoD game with a feature as important as an FOV slider on PC but not on console. We also want to see cheating reduced as much as possible, and measures put in place to make it extremely hard or impossible to manipulate matchmaking for easier lobbies, since this affects the experience of players in the majority.
